Join us for the April Art Stroll and Earth Day Celebration!
Art Stroll is on Friday, April 4th, 2024! The store will be open late from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm; with the store being open until 10pm for shopping.
Our Featured Artist is Stephanie Howerton
Stephanie is the President and Worker Bee for Our Children’s Earth. She has always had a passion for creating things. She loves marbling, hand dyeing and creating clothes, jewelry and household items.
She says “My heart delights in creating something new so I tend to explore a variety of arts. I hope that you feel that same joy while using your new purchase.”
We have been featured in the Huffington Post, VEIN Magazine, Indie Ogden, Standard Examiner, Good Things Utah, Fox 13 News and a variety of blogs and more.
Stephanie also teaches a wide variety of classes at The Local Artisan Collective. Find her by the front South Doors with new upcycled clothes and a FREE Earth Day Event of creating recycled t-shirt jewelry!
Classes and Events happening during the Art Stroll:
-6:00 to 9:00: It is our Annual Free Earth Day Event! Come celebrate the Earth and learn how to create recycled t-shirt jewelry with Stephanie from Our Children's Earth and Roxanne from Star and Branch. Find them by the front South Windows.
-6:00 to 9:00: Annual Plant Swap with a great new addition of Plant Doctor Rachael Bush being here to help you figure out what is going wrong or right with your plants! Heather Musante will have an amazing selection of plants for you to come and swap with Plus, come see Rachael's incredible Botany Books (she might even give you a signature in them too). Find the Plant Swap in Classroom A.
-6:00 to 9:00: Mount Ogden Montessori will be joining the Art Collective Stroll, where our students will showcase their Earth Day-inspired art projects! Each class has been busy creating unique pieces using recycled materials, natural elements, and creative techniques to celebrate sustainability and our planet. From vibrant collages to nature-inspired sculptures, their artwork reflects a deep appreciation for the environment.
Mount Ogden Montessori is a child-centered school dedicated to hands-on learning, creativity, and fostering a love for the natural world. We’re excited to share our students’ work and be part of this wonderful community event! Find them in Classroom B.
-6:00 to 9:00: NEW Upcycled Vintage Pillow Case Dresses
Jenny with Aunt GGs will have NEW-to-you upcycled vintage pillowcases for Spring and Easter. These dresses have adjustable straps and grow with your child. Jenny finds gently used unique and one of a kind pillow cases from estate sales, thrift store and yard sales. In some cases, the pillow cases were never used. Find these hanging up in the Clothing Boutique area of the store.
-6:00 to 9:00: Fix It Day, the perfect addition to our Earth Day Art Stroll!
Don’t throw out broken jewelry! Stop by our shop for Rene from Galleon's Gold Jewely to repair the following:
1. Lose a stone in your favorite ring, earring, necklace or bracelet? Bring in your silver, gold, brass or copper jewelry or home décor items to be repaired for you.
2. Beaded necklace break, no problem we can restring your beads and pearls.
3. Resize rings
4. Tighten prongs
5. Make a replica of an earring so you have a full pair again
6. And other jewelry repairs

-6:00 to 9:00: Watch Mike from Hurst's Handblown Glass will be creating glass blown marbles or something else just as awesome right before your eyes! Find him in his studio.

-6:00 to 9:00: Come watch Steve Stones paint and create collages on an art piece. In addition, pick up one of his free coloring page he designed! Find him by the entrance to the Textile studio in Classroom B.
