Presented in partnership with New Stage Theatre, Stephen Sondheim’s "A Little Night Music" is a sophisticated, sparkling musical romance filled with wit, longing, and some of the most elegant music ever written for the stage. Inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s "Smiles of a Summer Night," this Tony Award-winning masterpiece follows a tangled web of lovers, ex-lovers, spouses, and hopeful dreamers as they gather for a weekend in the Swedish countryside, where desire, regret, and second chances collide.
With its lush waltz rhythms, razor-sharp humor, and unforgettable songs, including “Send in the Clowns,” "A Little Night Music" is both deeply human and deliciously theatrical. Sondheim explores love in all its foolishness and beauty, from youthful infatuation to mature reflection, with unmatched musical intelligence and emotional grace.
Elegant, romantic, and bittersweet, "A Little Night Music" invites audiences into a world where night smiles three times, and love may yet have the final word.
