Our poetry open mic is currently happening the 3rd Saturday of each month.
We'll be in the side room of Burger Loft at 3 N Broadway in Nyack NY.
Anyone that wants to can come and sign up to read up to 5 minutes of original poetry. We'll also be featuring a couple of local poets.
Doors/sign-ups at 6:00 PM. Poetry starts at 6:33 or so.
Come.
$5-10 recommended at the door, but no one turned away for lack of funds.
Our featured poet this month is the Rockland County Poet Laureate, Juan Mobili.
Juan Pablo Mobili was born in Buenos Aires, and adopted by New York. His poems appeared in Tupelo Quarterly, Hanging Loose Magazine, South Florida Poetry Journal and Louisville Review, among others, as well as international publications such as Impspired (UK), Hong Kong Review (Hong Kong, SAR), and The Wild Word (Germany). His work received multiple nominations for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. His chapbook, “Contraband,” was published in 2022, and he is currently finishing his first full-length manuscript of poems. In January of 2025, he was appointed Poet Laureate of Rockland County, New York.
