Join the Lee’s Summit MAG for a hands-on educational afternoon focused on two essential homestead skills: sheep shearing and chicken processing.This meeting will feature live demonstrations and optional participation for those who want to learn by doing.Featuring Craig Johnson
Craig will walk attendees through the tools, techniques, and best practices for shearing sheep, explaining how to handle animals safely and maintain healthy wool production.Featuring Sidney Johnson
Sidney will guide attendees through the chicken processing process from start to finish, demonstrating humane processing methods and how to properly prepare a bird for the table.Hands-On Learning
We will have the tools and equipment on site for both shearing and processing demonstrations.
Participants who choose the $15 hands-on option will be able to assist with processing and take a chicken home.Light Refreshments Provided
