Un appuntamento al buio è un incontro tra due persone che non si conoscono e non hanno informazioni visive una dell’altra. È esattamente quello che succederà durante il vernissage di sabato 4 ottobre a Chroma: i curatori della mostra avranno il loro primo appuntamento insieme alle opere di 21 artisti, delle quali non sanno assolutamente niente.
Contrariamente alle solite esposizioni collettive essa non impone nessuna tematica precisa: ogni artista è libero di presentare un lavoro di sua scelta, come per la tecnica o la tipologia di opere. L’unica limitazione è il formato e che si possa appendere al muro. La decisione di non limitare la creatività artistica ad un solo argomento è stata presa per dare all’artista la possibilità di esprimersi indipendentemente e spontaneamente da una trama ben definita.
Le opere verranno svelate durante l'opening e appese al muro man mano che le scopriremo. L’obbiettivo di questo processo di allestimento “al buio” è quindi basato sul concetto di sorpresa e sull’evoluzione del pensiero creativo nel momento della sistemazione delle opere di vari artisti e linguaggi pittorici.
Cambieremo le regole delle mostre di arti visive e il rituale del vernissage diventerà una performance: l’allestimento stesso diverrà una esperienza interattiva e insolita.

A blind date is a meeting between two people who do not know each other and have no visual information about either of them. This is exactly what will happen during the vernissage on Saturday, October 4, at Chroma: the curators of the exhibition will have their first encounter with the works of 20 artists, about whom they know absolutely nothing.
Unlike usual group exhibitions, there is no specific theme: each artist is free to present a work of their choice, in terms of technique or type of work. The only limitation is the format and that it can be hung on the wall. The decision not to limit artistic creativity to a single theme was made to give artists the opportunity to express themselves independently and spontaneously, without a well-defined plot.
The works will be unveiled during the opening and hung on the wall as we discover them. The aim of this ‘blind’ installation process is therefore based on the concept of surprise and the evolution of creative thinking as the works of various artists and pictorial languages are arranged.
We will change the rules of visual arts exhibitions, and the ritual of the vernissage will become a performance: the installation itself will turn into an interactive and unusual experience.
