Jack Yeater will offer tips and tricks for the higher education application process Sunday February 15 at 3:00pm at Carey Link. Yeater, a 2018 CHS graduate, has been an admissions counselor for the University of Findlay since 2023, so he’ll be offering an inside perspective. From filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to communicating with colleges and negotiating scholarships, first time students and parents often feel overwhelmed. Yeater hopes to make attendees at his talk feel more comfortable about what to expect. While Yeater is an employee of UF, he has contacts with several other regional schools and aims to offer information that’s useful regardless of where students may apply, “I will remain as unbiased as possible – I don’t want people to think I’m just trying to sell the University of Findlay.” He says his talk will likely be most beneficial for high school juniors and their parents who want to get “ahead of the game,” or seniors and parents who don’t have experience with the application process and want to get caught up to speed.
