Apple Tree Grafting Workshop

is pleased to invite you to join us for a grafting workshop run by , an organisation committed to developing diverse and resilient orchards, and to creating thriving orchards in every community.

Come along and learn the skill of apple tree grafting in this practical workshop.

Select a variety of tree from the selection of Cornish and south-western varieties available.

Graft your own tree – and take it home to add to your orchard – or to start one! And help Helston Downsland Charity by grafting some trees for us to plant on our fields by Captains Lane, where we plan to establish a community orchard.

Refreshments will be provided.

Please note that there are only ten places available – you are assured of attentive instruction. It is very advisable to put your name down soon. Please let us know if having booked you can’t make, so that we can offer your place to someone else.

There is no charge – this activity has been provided by the charity.

What do I need to bring?

Participants will require no equipment – but should bring an apron or similar to protect their clothes. We shall be working indoors.

Where can I park?

Please walk if you can, but if you need to drive, there is limited roadside parking on Trelawney Road. From there, make your way into King George V Playing Fields and you will see the Scout Hut near the main path, leading to Oliver’s Terrace.
