Join us Sunday, October 11 for the FIRST EVER Apple Butter Festival Trail 5K at beautiful Cacapon Resort State Park!
Whether you’re chasing a personal best, looking for a great fall run, or just think running through the woods before spending the day eating your way through the Apple Butter Festival sounds like an excellent life choice, this one’s for you. 😉
The course winds through the beautiful trails of Cacapon Resort State Park, with wooded paths, rolling terrain, gentle hills, and (we’re ordering these now 🍂) plenty of gorgeous fall color.

Race starts at 8:00 AM
$35 per runner
Timed 5K with New River Timing Co.

This is a trail 5K, so come ready for a little dirt, a little elevation, and a whole lot of fun!
And the best part? When you cross that finish line, your Apple Butter Festival Sunday is just getting started. Head downtown afterward for food, music, shopping, apple butter, and everything else waiting for you at the 51st Annual Apple Butter Festival!
