A "meet" is not a meeting. It is a designation for a regular poultry show that indicates one or more d'Anvers fancier has expressed interest in attending this show, and thus somebody has already committed to filling out a show report (aka meet) for this location. State meets have a higher probability that you will see other d'Anvers exhibitors than special meets. District meets are supposed to be placed at shows that draw the most d'Anvers exhibitors for a single district. Appalachian classic is the state meet for Kentucky.
