WHOM SHALL I SEND?The call to be a witness to the Kingdom of God carries a profound sense of urgency. As believers, we are entrusted with the message of God's love, grace, and salvation through Jesus Christ, and the world around us is in desperate need of this truth. The brokenness, injustice, and suffering in the world highlight the need for hope and transformation that only God's kingdom can bring.
Jesus himself emphasised the urgency of spreading the gospel, telling his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19). The apostle Paul also understood this urgency, writing that we are "ambassadors for Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:20), called to share the message of reconciliation before time runs out. Being a witness is not just about words but about living out the values of God's kingdom—love, peace, justice, and mercy—in our everyday lives.
The urgency comes from the understanding that our time on earth is limited and that many have yet to experience the life-changing power of the gospel of the Kingdom. As we witness to the Kingdom of God, we participate in God's mission to bring healing, justice, and redemption to a world that longs for it. Every moment matters, and each of us has a role to play in this divine calling.
