APNET One Day Mission | Mt. Pleasant, TX | Saturday, March 21 One Day Mission to serve and work alongside APNET parish, St. Mark's in Mt. Pleasant, TX. We will depart St. Philip's at 7:30 am and return by 7:30 pm. The primary area of need at St. Mark's is cleaning up and removing debris from their outdoor space.
This mission is appropriate for families with children in 4th grade and above. All students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.
Mission Registration Fee: $20 per person* If you were part of prior APNET mission teams, Mtr. Lillian will provide you with a discount code to remove the fee from your registration.
*The registration fee is not tax-deductible as it covers the cost of a team t-shirt. Donations made to the mission are tax-deductible.
APNET (Affiliated Parishes of Northeast Texas) is a unique community of six faithful Episcopal churches that support one another in their faith, worship, and learning within the Diocese of Dallas. The six churches that make up APNET are: St. Dunstan's Episcopal in Mineola, St. Philip's Episcopal in Sulphur Springs, St. Mark's/San Marcos Episcopal in Mt. Pleasant, St. Francis Episcopal in Winnsboro, and St. William Laud's Episcopal in Pittsburg. Although they face unique challenges such as limited resources, small aging congregations and buildings, they remain vital outposts of the gospel in their areas, and the church's presence matters deeply. These parishes are part of our Diocesan family, and they offer us a unique opportunity to come alongside them as partners in ministry. Their needs range from helping with outreach, pastoral care, children's ministry (both Hispanic and English), and general landscape maintenance. Their faith is heartfelt, and their desire to develop disciples in East Texas is strong. Through mission engagement, we at St. Philip’s can be a source of encouragement, energy, and friendship. Together, we can make a lasting impact and grow faith that impacts the world for Christ!
