Join APA | DC on Saturday, April 25th at ​A​T YOLK ​studios for our Annual Photo Assistant Workshop​ —​ a hands-on learning experience designed to help you succeed in the commercial photography space. Learn the skills, make the connections, and step confidently onto set.
Led by industry pros, this workshop will cover:

• Grip & lighting fundamentals
• Digital tech basics
• Set safety & etiquette
• Invoicing practices
• Essential on-set skills to make you stand out

Registration is required​ and space is limited!​ All participants must be 18 years or older and have an ID for check in.
Whether you're just getting started, want to see what’s used on commercial sets, or need a refresher, this is the workshop for you.

Pricing:
$25 for APA members
$75 for non-members

​Schedule:

• 9:30am - Arrival for participants ​-​ coffee provided by APA
• 10am - 1​1​:30am - Hands-on training on how to use grip and lighting equipment.​ 20 min intr​o, 30 minutes going over grip (Stands, Rigging, Different pieces of equipment)​, 4​0 ​minutes going over lighting (Stobes, Packs, Modifiers, etc)
• 1​1:30p​m -1​2:​30pm - Lunch ​-​ provided by APA
• 1​2:​30pm - ​2:​30pm - Breakout groups (digital tech, hands-on studio shoot, hands-on outdoor shoot)
• ​2:30pm - 3pm - Q&A session
• 3pm WRAP
