Zhesht Events is pleased to presents the first full-band Tbilisi appearance of the iconic Antimatter from the U.K. co-headlining the show with fellow Armenian dark rock band The Beautified project. Special guests of the event are long time Georgian goth rockers Hymera!
⚛ ANTIMATTER
Antimatter is a UK-based dark rock project founded in 1998 by Duncan Patterson, formerly of Anathema, and musician Mick Moss. The duo collaborated by independently writing and arranging their own songs, which they later combined in the studio to produce their albums. This partnership yielded three albums: “Saviour”, “Lights Out,” and “Planetary Confinement.”
In 2005, Patterson departed to pursue a new musical endeavor, Íon, leaving Moss to continue Antimatter as a solo project. Since then, Moss has released several albums under the Antimatter name, including “Leaving Eden” (2007), “Fear of a Unique Identity” (2012), “The Judas Table” (2015), and “Black Market Enlightenment” (2018) and finally “A Profusion of Thought” (2022), their newest record and the latest chapter in a haunting story that seems to get more poignant with every new installation.
Antimatter's sound has evolved over time, blending elements of dark rock, art rock, prog, metal, folk, shoegaze, and classic British pop, while maintaining a consistent darkwave sensibility and Moss's masterful lead vocals being a defining feature throughout the project's evolution. As part of the band's 25-year anniversary tour, Antimatter will visit Armenia for the second time with a full band performance, to deliver an unforgettable experience to their fans.
🦋 THE BEAUTIFIED PROJECT
The Beautified Project is an Alternative Dark Rock band formed in the UK in 2005. The band, which now resides in Armenia, has released 4 studio albums and 27 music videos, having won 12 awards (including 2 national awards) and has toured ~10 countries during their career. In 2009 The Beautified Project became the first local Armenian band which was aired by the international MTV and in 2012 BBC made a documentary about the band in London. The Beautified Project has released two official releases with Antimatter and will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025.
🐉 HYMERA
Hailing from Tbilisi, Georgia, Hymera was formed in 2000, carving a niche in the local scene with their distinctive but eclectic gothic rock sound. Though the band faced a long hiatus since 2007, anchored by its core members, Hymera reemerged in 2018, diving into studio recordings and live performances with reignited passion for music and renewed energy.
