Facilitated by Stavros Karayiannis
Friday 20 November 2026, 18:30
YALLA Collective Space & Café, Perikleous 16, Nicosia
What does it mean to resist fascism today, and how does Palestine shape that question? In this conversation, psychoanalyst Avgi Saketopoulou and Panikkos Achniotis bring theory and action together. Avgi will draw on her recent Social Text essay “Exigent Sadism,” and Panikkos on his antifascist work in Cyprus, to think about what resistance asks of us, in thought and in practice. Stavros Karayiannis will facilitate the discussion, followed by an open conversation with the audience.
The event will be in English.
