Join the Poverty Liberation Collective (PLC) for a month-long installation of the at Peaslee Neighborhood Center, running from Friday, April 11 to Friday, May 16, and open during Peaslee's regular hours: Monday through Friday, 9am–6pm.
About the Museum
The Anti-Poverty Pop-Up Museum is a creative, community-driven exhibit that explores three interconnected themes:
🖼️ The realities of poverty in the U.S.
🤝 Mutual aid as a tool for survival and empowerment
🌹 Joy as resistance, through the Bread and Roses Project
All displays are located in Peaslee’s main lobby and are designed to be engaging and thought-provoking.
Opening Night – Solidarity Social
To kick things off, we’re hosting a Solidarity Social on Friday, April 11, from 5–7pm in the same space. Join us to celebrate the opening, connect with others, and experience the museum in community. (A separate Eventbrite page will be available for this event.)
