Anthony Krizan
As former lead guitarist of The Spin Doctors during the height of their popularity, Anthony Krizan has played in front of thousands opening for The Rolling Stones and The Allman Brothers, spent 10 years as touring guitarist with iconic Jimi Hendrix bassist Noel Redding and he’s an original member of Amphibian, with Phish lyricist Tom Marshall.
Anthony has also penned rock/soul staples such as "Stand By My Woman" with Lenny Kravitz, five songs on the Spin Doctors Greatest Hits, the theme of the Spin City TV series and The Howard Stern “Miss America” theme.
In 2019 the single "Something in the Water", was produced in Mussel Shoals with some of the original Swampers and the Alabama All-Stars. It was written by Anthony and Cheryl DaVeiga and was eventually used for the 2019 Alabama State Bicentennial Gala.
Most recently, Krizan co-wrote the title track to superstar British rock singer John Waite’s (The Babys, Bad English) new 2022 EP, Anything, and produced three tracks on the release. He also co-wrote the title track to John Waite’s Mercury release When You Were Mine.
Krizan is a recipient of the ASCAP FOUNDATION JAY GORNEY AWARD for the song he co-wrote with CHERYL DAVEIGA, “Home Don’t Feel Like Home”.
The Anthony Krizan Band has most recently played The Iridium NYC, Monmouth University Pollak Theatre, New Jersey Jazz & Blues 2023 Festival Long Beach NJ, NJ Dunellin Theatre, NJ, Count Basie Theatre, NJ.
