Antenatal 'Microbirth' class

Pregnancy is a great time to be thinking about health. Your own health as parents to be, but also the health of your unborn baby. Understanding the infant microbiome could be one of the most important decisions you can make for your baby's lifelong health. It is a gift that is yours alone to give.

There is a growing interest in gut health and the microbiome, but it can still feel a little mysterious.. microbes are, after all, microscopic and not something we can see, so it is easy to see how we often do not pay them the attention they deserve!

My class will take you on a journey of discovery where you can unlock some simple science and knowledge. Learn how your baby's gut health begins even before birth and how this shapes their immunity, digestion, and overall well-being for years to come. There will be plenty of simple and doable practical tips and ideas. Also plenty of time to ask your questions.

My aim is that you leave the class feeling empowered to take active steps for a 'microbiome mindful' pregnancy and a 'microbiome mindful' plan for birth and the early days with your baby.

The class will also offer an opportunity to meet other like-minded parents-to-be. Many new parent friendships are forged in classes like this!
