About this Event

The Antelope Valley African American Infant and Maternal Mortality Prevention Initiative is hosting an Infant Safety Awareness and Community Networking Event to bring together families, community members, service providers, advocates, and local partners around the shared goal of improving Black infant and maternal health outcomes.

The event focuses on raising awareness of infant safety practices, connecting families to trusted resources, and strengthening community relationships that support pregnant and parenting families. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about safe sleep, infant care, maternal wellness, prevention resources, and local support services available throughout the Antelope Valley.

In addition to education and resource sharing, the event will create space for meaningful networking among community-based organizations, healthcare partners, doulas, advocates, and residents.
