Answer Code Request (DE) — Revolver Fridays & Deep Cargo
Advertisement
We return for another edition of Revolver Fridays, this time with Berlin techno innovator Answer Code Request making his Cage debut. Next door, Deep Cargo take care of business with a label showcase on the Stage.
Patrick Gräser, better known as Answer Code Request, has become one of techno’s most distinctive artists through a sound that fuses atmospheric melodies, intricate rhythms, and industrial textures. Emerging on Ostgut Ton in 2012, he quickly gained recognition for his innovative approach, earning a residency at Berghain and releasing acclaimed music on labels including Ostgut Ton, MDR, Dolly Deluxe, and Monkeytown Records.
Born in Fürstenwalde, East Germany, Gräser’s musical identity was shaped by the cultural shifts of post-reunification Berlin and a broad range of influences spanning hip-hop, acid, UK hardcore, jungle, drum & bass, Detroit techno, IDM, and UK bass. Growing up alongside Marcel Dettmann and Marcel Fengler, he immersed himself in the city’s evolving club culture, developing a genre-spanning sound that has become the hallmark of both his productions and DJ sets.
