The Town’s fishing derby will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Town’s Hawkins Grove fishing pond located behind the Boonsboro Library on Potomac Street for children ages 1 to 12 years old.Free Admission!!
Ages 1 - 6 years old
Registration from 7:30 to 8:30 AM
Fishing from 8:30 to 10:30 AM
Ages 7 - 12 years old
Registration from 10:00 to 11:00 AM
Fishing from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
*Fishing poles will be provided for any child who doesn't have one.
Hawkins Grove Pond REGULATIONS:
This is a Maryland Nontidal Sport Fishing Pond. Special provisions enforced by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources limits fishing in this area to persons that are:
Handicapped and/or Blind
Children ages 16 and Under
Adults age 65 and Older
