At 1:30 pm on Monday, November 23rd, and in partnership with the Community Music School of Springfield, the Springfield Redevelopment Authority will host their 6th annual tree lighting ceremony at Union Station.
The historic concourse will be filled with holiday cheer when, together, Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno & Congressman Richie Neal kick off the busy holiday travel season, lighting the tree and setting the Amherst Railway Society model train chugging its way around the base.
The Community Music School of Springfield's String City Orchestra will perform, and Santa Claus himself is expected to be in attendance!
Thei event is free and open to the public.
