It is that time again. Grab your aprons, your rolling pins, cookie cutters, grandmas recipes, all the grandkids, your ladies from church, or just super hero it out yourself! We are looking for homemade sweets and treats to fill up bags decorated by the Girl Scouts and also students in the Turner School district in Kansas City, Kansas.
These bags will be distributed to all the area picnics serving the houseless and food insecure between the 20th and the 25th. It’s fun for everyone to have a little something special thru the holidays. And who doesn’t love homemade goodness?!
The goal is 1000 bags!!
Don’t like to bake? No problem! Would you consider donating some store bought cookies, brownies, candies or other goods? Even hot chocolate packets, peppermints, Chex mix, or individually wrapped candies are good too.
This is a fun event for the entire family! Bring the kids and help us get this bags loaded on the 20th. We will start at 2pm. The first picnic is that day at 4pm! So we will need many hands working efficiently to make that happen.
