The FBC Pantry Garden, a garden committed to feeding those in need in our community, will again host our Annual Spring Plant Swap. Share your Perennial plant divisions, seeds, bulbs and houseplants with gardeners from all over town. Please park your cars in the lot just to the west of the garden and set plants outside your vehicle to share. Put your plants on the pavement, or bring a box or table. Once you have placed out your plants, feel free to browse others offerings. Please do not bring invasive species, aggressive growers or super common varieties. Some examples would be loosestrife, common orange daylily, yard violets, tiny baby redbuds, & English ivy. Best practice is that all plants should be dug and potted, bulbs are acceptable in bags. Only bulbs, tubers, corms, or rooted cuttings (wrapped in wet paper and bagged) should be bare root. Examples of acceptable plants would be herbs, perennials, berries, shrubs, trees, houseplants and other types of plants. Take approximately what you bring, if you bring 15 plants you can take 15 plants. New gardeners are allowed to come and take a maximum 5 plants w/o bringing any to trade. We hope new gardeners will bring some next year! The exchange is on a Sunday and begins at 3 PM and goes til 5 PM. EVERYONE CLEANS UP AND REMOVES LEFTOVERS. There are no volunteers at this event to set up and clean up, it's on each of us.
