Following the success of last year’s event we have set the date for the 2025 weekend in Snowdonia. The itinerary is:Friday 5th Sept: Meet at the RCC for an afternoon of meeting and greeting before proceeding to the Hotel for check in, where dinner at the hotel restaurant can be booked for those who want it.
Saturday 6th Sept: After Breakfast, drive in Convoy to Vaynol Park for Club Meeting, Buffet Lunch and an afternoon of driving each-other’s cars within the grounds: Late afternoon drive in convoy back to the hotel for dinner
Sunday 7th Sept: After breakfast we can decide is we want to depart for home or some of us are proposing taking the train to the top of Snowdonia taking a picnic lunch with us (The Vaynol Hall buffet lunch is opulent so we suggest bringing a sandwich box to grab some food for the picnic)
The Maenan Abbey Hotel has reserved all 13 rooms for the event and will be offering a package of 2 nights room & Breakfast plus Saturday Evening meal to all who enrol. The way it will work is enrolled members will be contacted by the Hotel manager via email to make their booking no sooner than February
There is a cost of £15/head which covers the Vaynol Hall lunch paid up front Booking the Hotel and/or the Snowdonia train will be your own responsibility but we are expecting a discounted rate for the hotel based on the 2 nights plus one evening meal deal (Friday’s evening meal is optional as some people might want to make other arrangements)
I think this will do for now, I would advise contacting me via PM to organise your place quickly as the hotel only has 13 double rooms available and I think they will fill very quickly
