Annual Rocks and Tide Race event RI/CT
Advertisement
Drive up to Stonington, CT on Friday. Saturday will be rock gardening off either Jamestown RI or Newport. We will be working on boat control off the rocks as well as reading the water. Saturday we will experience the tide race on the reef east of Fishers. We will work on appropriate rescues and boat handling in condition.
We plan to get 2 or 3 campsites at Mystic KOA for the group so come prepared to share costs and camp for the weekend. If you prefer other options that works also.
A roll is not necessary but you should have some experience in rough water and different wind conditions. Assisted rescues are a must. Helmets are required.
NOTE: We are going to limit this event to 10 people.
This is a JSSKA club event so If you are not a JSSKA member you will have to join and fill out a waiver.
If you have any questions, PM me.
