The Village Horticulture Club’s Annual Plant Sale returns on Friday, May 8, bringing back the familiar favourites that gardeners look forward to every year. You’ll be able to stock up on worm castings, mushroom compost, and a variety of vegetable plants and annuals to kick off your spring planting.We’re excited to welcome back Leo Sylvester and his well‑loved butterfly table, where you can learn about pollinators and pick up host plants to support them in your own garden. Also joining us will be Natalie Ryan with Eco-Vision Gardens who will be helping up expand our butterfly friendly garden outside the greenhouse.
Alongside the plants, you’ll find specialty desserts, cold drinks, and a selection of local vendors offering unique handmade items—like bead‑and‑crochet “no‑water” plants and handcrafted pottery planters. There’s always something unexpected to discover, and the sale has become a favourite tradition just before Mother’s Day.
