The Haverhill Garden Club will be hosting their annual plant sale on Saturday, May 17th on the Bradford Common from 8 a.m. to sell out. The sale will feature a wide variety of annuals, perennials, herbs, and vegetable plants. Patrons can have their garden tools sharpened for a nominal fee and the event will also offer a wheelbarrow raffle of gardening supplies.
Proceeds from the plant sale fund civic garden projects around the city, educational guest speakers (lectures are open to the public), and three higher education scholarships for students pursuing degrees in the agricultural sciences.
The club also invites members of the public to donate any extra plants from their yards and gardens for the plant sale. To request digging assistance or to arrange a pick up of your donated plants, contact us at [email protected].
