This year, Cape Henry Audubon Society will have a scaled-down picnic at Weyanoke on Saturday, June 13th, 2026 at 11 AM. Guests are encouraged to bring their own drinks/water bottles, a chair, a small meal or sandwich for themselves and a dish to share. . We will not do grilling this year. We'll have some paper plates, napkins and plastic ware. To be especially "green", guests are encouraged to bring their own silverware.
No formal birdwalk is planned for this event; guests are welcome to tour the sanctuary on their own and observe the birds, other wildlife and the native wildflowers.
