Community Forest Annual Open House
Come see what’s growing in your community forest! Drop in anytime, chat with our staff and neighbours, and explore the topics that matter most to you. Stay for five minutes or as long as you have to share with us.
Specific topics around which we'll have information to share, and people to talk to about:
🌲 2026 Operating Plan: Where and how we’ll harvest over the next 5 years, guided by Ecosystem Based Management.
🌲 Growing the Community Forest: SCCF has purchased Forest Licence A86929 (12,000m³) and is seeking to convert it to a Community Forest Agreement, a generational chance to expand locally managed forest and partner with First Nations and local governments.
🙋 Board of Directors: Meet the volunteers who provide our leadership.
🙋 Community Advisory Panel: Community members who meet monthly to share what they value in local forests.
🚌 Community Engagement: Field trips, free land-based learning, donations, and locally grown lumber for community projects.
🍇 Light fare will be served.
RSVP at www.SCCF.ca/events for a calendar invite and reminder (optional).
