Join the New Jersey State Museum for its annual Girl Scout Day on February 28, 2026, focusing on astronomy and space, citizen science, STEM careers, and, new this year, art & design. Learn about the wonders of the universe with our Planetarium shows, start your citizen scientist journey and discover nature all around you, chat with our Museum scientists and find out what a career in STEM really looks like and where your interests may lead you, and be inspired by our art gallery to turn your own ideas into art. Have fun exploring science and art, all while earning qualifications towards badges and awards for Space Explorer, STEM Careers, Art & Design, and Think Like a Citizen Scientist. Girl Scout badges are not included in the program fee and can be purchased online or at your local Girl Scout shop.
This all-day event is structured according to troop level - Daisy/Brownies and Juniors/Cadettes. Troop leaders can enjoy a pre-scheduled day at the Museum. Each workshop will run for 45 to 60 minutes. After your last workshop, you are free to stay at the Museum for as long as your troop wants to. The Museum does not provide snacks or lunches, but you are welcome to bring your own to have during any breaks.
