Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept 9th, at 7pm at RPAC. All RLT members are invited - and strongly encouraged - to attend.
One of the most important aspects of the AGM is the election of board members. The RLT Board consists of 12 members. Their status is as follows:
- Vice-President Cathy Moberly will stand for re-election.
- The Treasurer position must be filled, as Veronica Dizon will be stepping down after filling the role for most of the last two years. A potential successor, Mariya Reshetar, has been recruited and vetted but candidacy is open to anyone who is prepared to dedicate themselves to one of the most essential and challenging tasks at RLT.
- President John Chaput and Secretary Faye Daborn are in the middle of their two-year terms.
- Among the eight Members at Large, Marty Lelliot, Patrick Pelletier and Cheryl Cherle are letting their names stand for re-election as their two-year terms expire. Kelle Crosbie will not seek re-election due to professional committements, but will continue to oversee the Fall One-Acts Cabaret through November 1st. Nora Berg, Janaya Hanley, Bonnie Senger and Hope Van Vliet continue their terms through September 2026.
If you would like to nominate yourself or another person for nomination to the Board, please express that intention by sending an email to [email protected]. Nominations will also be accepted at the AGM on Sept 9th.
The tentative agenda for the AGM is as follows: 1. Call to Order; 2. Approval of the Agenda; 3. Minutes of the 2024 AGM; 4. Old Business; 5. Financial Report; 6. Reports from Board Members; 7. Special Interest Groups; 8. Goodfellow Endowment Fund Reports; 9. Awards; 10. Election of Officers; 11. Notice of 2026 AGM; and, 12. Adjournment.
