Program will including presentations, panel discussion, workshops of earth building techniques, and earth building tours.
This year we are focusing on how to get your Earth Home approved, where we will hear from a range of practitioners and experts in this area.
Open invitation to participate in "Show and Tell" segment called 5x5 (5 slides on USB stick for 5 mins ) for any attendee at the conference to jump up and participate in. So, show us your own building projects, or your tour travels of earth structures you have visited, or studies and research you have been involved in.
Our conferences are a friendly social gathering of people "Muddies" who are keenly interested in building with earth. It provides a great opportunity to meet, network and make new friends who share the same passions, as well as rubbing shoulders and getting your hands dirty with Australia's the most experienced and qualified earth builders in the industry. EBAA AGM will also be held to re-elected the EBAA committee for 2025 for members to nominate and vote.
Committee membership; We have a few vacancies on the committee for next year. Nominations are only available to fully paid members (Nominations can be submitted by e-mail to the Secretary [email protected]).
Ideal committee members we are looking for;
Of course, all those in the earth building industry. Builders, engineers, designers and people generally working in the field are ideal, but these aren’t the only people who can play a vital role on the committee. We also need people with a range of skills, such as article writing, marketing, event organising, graphics, admin, book-keeping, grant writing, research, publishing, social media, IT skills in webinar hosting, website editing, conducting practicing workshops, etc, or simply being keen to assist where you can.
The benefits of being a committee member is the satisfaction that your voluntary contribution is shaping, managing, and advancing the interests of earth building in Australia. Make collegial friendships, connections with other earth building associations overseas, gain a deeper ‘ear to ground’ insight into what is taking place within the industry and perhaps even raising your business profile in the earth building industry.
