Annual Community Shred Day

A free community shred day will be held at the Amherst Public Library parking lot.
Personal documents and confidential papers will be shredded on site at no charge using the equipment from Lorain County Solid Waste Management. Five boxes or bags will be the allowed limit. Staples are fine, but no paper clips, binder clips, spiral bound notebooks, other metal objects, batteries, or electronics. All shredded materials are baked and recycled into usable paper products.
The event may end early if the truck is full.
Scout Troop 494 of Amherst will assist you in taking the materials from your vehicles. For more information, call the library at 440-988-4280.
