Annual Coldwater Fish Science Meeting - UWL Student Union

This is our annual fish science meeting hosted in association with the UW-La Crosse River Studies Club. More details will be forthcoming but expect talks on:
1. The Coon Creek radio telemetry study - the WDNR and UWL have been collaborating on a study you all have been following closely. Come hear about the preliminary results.
2. Brook and Brown Trout production and population study - Kyle Kamm, a 2nd year graduate student, tagged more than 1,400 trout this year and will be reporting how geology - sandstone and dolostone - affects growth rates, summer production, and other variables he measured this year.
3. PIT Tag Antenna study - CRTU purchased a PIT (passive integrated transponder) receiver and antenna for use to evaluate the restoration of our streams by the WDNR and UWL. Students assessed how well the device worked to "recapture" PIT tags.
4. Pammel Creek - students will update us on the status of Pammel Creek and its restoration within the ORA Trail Farm property.
