The Friends of the Marshalltown Public Library will hold its annual book sale on Friday, September 19 from 5:00-7:30 PM (Friends Member Preview Night). The sale will take place in the library’s Community Meeting Rooms.Books will be available for every age and interest. A large selection of books will be for sale, including best sellers, mysteries, romances and westerns. Non-fiction selections will include cookbooks, biographies, history, inspiration, travel and more.
On Friday, we will have a Friends of the Library member preview night from 5:00-7:30 PM. Friends of the Library members will get a chance to peruse and purchase books and other items before the general public. This is for Friends members who have paid their dues in the last year; people can also become a member of the Friends of the Library the day of the sale for $10.00.
Books will be sold on Friday for $1 for hardcover and trade paperback books and 25 cents for mass market, pocket-size paperbacks. DVDs, videos, and other media also will be available at the sale.
All proceeds from the sale go to the Friends of the Marshalltown Public Library and will be used to purchase new materials of all types and for all ages. Cash, check, and credit card accepted as payment.
