The Riverside Opera Company is excited to announce auditions on Sunday, October 12th, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Studio 4G at Playwrights' Downtown Studios, located at 440 Lafayette Street, New York, NY.
Each singer will be given a cherished 5-minute time slot to shine, performing an aria or arias selected by the judges from the submitted repertoire list.
Audition winners will have the incredible opportunity to sing with a professional opera orchestra on November 8, 2025, and May 23, 2026, an esteemed group that has graced Carnegie Hall, along with a $200-$ 300 stipend (one rehearsal with the orchestra). There will also be numerous other performance opportunities throughout 2026 (no rehearsal), so you may potentially earn $1,200-$1,500.
A one-time, non-refundable application fee of $50 covers the essential production costs, including studio rental, a pianist, and the management of audition times. These annual auditions are a platform for emerging and established talent to showcase their artistry and continue their journey. Many of our past winners have achieved remarkable success, performing in Europe and at the Metropolitan Opera.
