The ASU Winter Intensive delivers world class training with some of the finest aikido instruction anywhere! Lessons will include discussion and application of the internal and external aspects of aikido, spiritual, philosophical, energetic, and physical principles. Applications to both open hand and weapons technique will be addressed.Saotome Sensei, our presiding Shihan and Uchideshi to the Founder, will share the aikido he developed from his many years of one-on-one experience with O-Sensei.

Several of Sensei's senior students, personally trained by him, who are now leaders in the aikido community and world class instructors in their own right, will also teach. They will represent the range of what ASU aikido means, by sharing their perspectives and their favorite training methods.
All students of Aikido are welcome. Students of any affiliation or experience level will find new understanding and new challenges. This seminar not only refines Aikido skills but also emphasizes the importance of harmony, respect, and community, creating an inclusive and supportive environment for practitioners to deepen their connection to Aikido and one another. Saotome Sensei is 87 years old now. He is still active and still awesome, and one of the last living Uchideshi of the Founder. Seize this opportunity and come see him!
