Blending expert songwriting with neo-bluegrass and indie-Americana influences, Annie Stokes has been making waves in the Virginia music scene since the release of her award-winning 2022 album “The One That Gets Away.” The past two years have seen Annie growing her fanbase from Brooklyn to North Carolina, with appearances on The Martha Bassett Show, Blue Plate Special, as well as indie festivals such as Steppin Out Fest, Hop Sonic, and MackRock. In 2023, she released her EP “Wild Rose” with producer and co-writer Austin Bello, followed up by 2025’s highly-anticipated “Ghostwriter”, both under exclusive licensing with We Found Sound.
As an emerging independent artist in the Blue Ridge region of northern Virginia, Annie continues to gain fans with her unique fusion of dark Appalachian songwriting, fluid, fiddle-based jams, and crystalline vocals.
