ANNIE AUDITION INFORMATION
**Auditions will take place at the Harper School located directly across the street from the LHS Campus.** The Address for the Harper School is 1113 College Ave. SW, Lenoir.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Sunday October 20th- 7:00 pm- Those auditioning for the role of ANNIE or an ORPHAN only. This is the only night for those auditioning for these roles. If you cannot make these auditions, video submissions will be accepted. If there are other circumstances in which you can’t submit a video, please reach out to FPA at [email protected] to schedule another audition time with the director.
Monday October 21st- 7:00 pm- All other auditions night 1
Tuesday October 22nd- 7:00 pm- All other auditions night 2
Wednesday October 23rd- 7:00 pm- Possible Callbacks
For your audition:
Prepare at least a 32 bar cut (60-90 seconds) of a song in the style of ANNIE. Please do not sing a song from the show. We would like to hear your vocal ability and show characterization through song. Please find your own background tracks for auditions with NO vocals (karaoke style or pre recorded accompaniment are preferred. YouTube a karaoke track of the song you would like to sing for auditions). We will provide a Bluetooth speaker for you to connect your devices to. No acapella, please. There will not be an accompanist.
-Bring clothes & appropriate shoes to move in for a dance portion of the audition.
-Be prepared to read from the script if asked. You may be paired with other people.
-Parents will not be allowed in the audition room. There will be a waiting area provided!
-You will be called in one at a time to sing for the director and musical director. After your song, you will be grouped to do a dance audition. Once completed, you will be released.
If needed, those called back will be notified via email by the stage manager on Tuesday night, October 22nd. Callbacks will be on Wednesday October 23rd at 7pm.
-Please be familiar with the songs that the character you’re auditioning for sings in the show. The director may ask you to sing a portion of one of their songs.
-Please bring a list of potential conflicts through January 2025. No one will be excluded for having holiday plans with their families. BUT the director will take this into consideration for specific roles.
-Tentative rehearsal start date is Sunday, October 27th.

About the Musical:
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations... and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
