Annie & The Fur Trappers are back in St. Louis for a limited time only! Annie moved to Boston a while back and we have all missed her. But she is sailing into town this summer and will perform with her old bandmates at a few venues while she is here. We are pleased as punch to be hosting Annie and her merry melody makers, The Fur Trappers, at Jack's Joint!
They are paying tribute to the great jazz guitarist, Lonnie Johnson. There is a lot that could be said about this founding father jazz guitar, but we'll let you click on the link to read as much or as little as you would like. But we recommend reading a lot!

These folks play marching jazz tunes and swing jazz straight out of the New Orleans tradition before WWII and before Be-Bop was invented. It's a style that is meant for revelry and fun. It's a celebratory music. It's a music that will cheer you up if you are blue, and make you dance in brand new shoes. You can swing all night long doing the Hammerlock, the Cuddle, the Lean, the Jumpin' Joe and the Tunnel. It will be a grand affair, and who knows? The band just might take a walk thru the bar. ;)
