Auditions: Monday, March 30th from 6pm-9pm & Tuesday, March 31st from 6pm-9pm. Script perusal will be at 6pm and auditions start at 6:30pm. You don’t have to attend both nights. Anne of Green Gables Cast of Characters
Actors needed:18 total: 12 females (5 younger), 6 males (3 younger) NOTE: There are 23 actual characters – several will be playing more than one character, and some will also be ASMs
Anne Shirley (young female): An imaginative and fiery orphan. Ages 13 – 16 during the play (290 lines)
Marilla Cuthbert (older female): Stern, no nonsense lady of Green Gables. An old maid. (188 lines)
Matthew Cuthbert (older male): Soft spoken old bachelor and Marilla’s brother (63 lines)
Diana Berry (young female): Mild mannered girl of Avonlea; becomes Anne’s best friend (64 lines)
Gilbert Blythe (younger male): The most popular boy of Avonlea. Handsome and a tease. (44 lines)
Rachel Lynde (older female): Outspoken and nosy neighbor to the Cuthberts; STORYTELLER. Marilla’s best friend. (70 lines)
Mrs. Barry (middle aged female): Citizen of Avonlea; STORYTELLER. Diana’s mother. (32 lines)
