Animal Husbandry Workshop

Participants will explore best practices for caring for animals, including chickens, goats, and other small livestock, with a focus on creating healthy, safe, and comfortable coops and enclosures. The workshop covers practical topics such as proper feeding, housing design, sanitation, disease prevention, and enrichment, as well as tips for monitoring animal health and behavior.

Through demonstrations, discussion, and guided observation, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to maintain thriving animals in your own backyard or small-scale setup. Whether you’re new to animal care or looking to refine your skills, this workshop provides actionable advice, expert tips, and hands-on guidance to ensure the well-being of your animals while making daily care manageable and rewarding.

Please bring a water bottle, good walking shoes, a hat, and a rain jacket (Farm Discovery Programs run rain or shine).
