"Animal Hall" Art Exhibit Opens at Kissimmee City Hall
Art In Public Places, Osceola Arts and Kissimmee City Hall is proud to announce the opening of "Animal Hall," a vibrant and diverse art exhibition celebrating animals in all forms. The exhibit will open to the public on July 12, 2024, and will span all five floors of Kissimmee City Hall, located in Kissimmee, Florida.
Curated by Tre Harris, "Animal Hall" invites visitors to explore a rich tapestry of artistic expressions, featuring works that range from wildlife to domestic animals, mythical creatures to whimsical cartoons, and even imaginative animal-human fusions. This unique thematic approach promises a captivating experience for art enthusiasts of all ages.
Highlighting the exhibition are pieces by renowned artist and photographer Tom "Tommy" Tompkins, known for his deep appreciation of the natural world. In addition, works by talented students from St. Cloud High School and various other Central Florida counties will be prominently featured, underscoring the exhibit's commitment to fostering local artistic talent.
"We are thrilled to showcase such a diverse array of artworks that celebrate the beauty and wonder of animals," said Curator Tre Harris. "Through this exhibition, we aim to not only showcase artistic talent but also to provoke meaningful conversations about our relationship with the animal kingdom."
"Animal Hall" will remain open to the public through August 23, 2024. Admission is free, offering a perfect opportunity for families, students, and art aficionados to engage with creativity in a civic setting.
