OUR PLEA TO ANIMAL LOVERS, GOVERNMENTS, ORGANIZATIONS & THE UNITED NATIONS
Every day in Nigeria, we receive heartbreaking reports and videos of animals being beaten, abandoned, starved, and left homeless.
Dogs, cats, and other animals are suffering on our streets with nowhere to go. Our existing laws are weak and there is currently NO fully functional public animal shelter in Lagos to rescue and rehabilitate them.
This must change. And you can help us change it.
I am Chiemeka Chiedozie, founder of Humane Global Network and Chi Empathy Towards Animals Organization NGO.
I have dedicated my life to giving animals a voice in Africa.
My work has been recognized globally:
- Funded by the United Nations Environment Programme through ANAW Kenya to attend international animal welfare conferences
- Funded by Humane Society International, USA for advanced training in South Africa with Nicola Vernon at Greyton Farm Animal Sanctuary, where I worked directly with rescued farm animals
Now I’m bringing that global knowledge home to Nigeria.
THE SOLUTION: CHI FARM AND ANIMAL SHELTER - LAGOS
We have already fully registered Chi Farm and Animal Shelter.
This will be the *first modern animal shelter and rehabilitation center in Lagos focused on:
1. RESCUE: Emergency response for abused and stray animals across Lagos
2. REHABILITATION: Medical care, vaccination, spay/neuter, and trauma recovery
3. REHOME: Safe adoption, including local and international partnerships
4. EDUCATION: Community programs to end animal cruelty and promote empathy
5. ADVOCACY: Working with government to strengthen enforcement of animal protection laws
Animals’ safety must be a priority. No animal deserves to be beaten and left to die on the street.
