Animal Ambassador Academy | Ages 6–12
Each monthly session focuses on one featured animal for four weeks. Instead of simply meeting an animal and learning a few fun facts, students will spend the entire session getting to know their featured animal through age-appropriate lessons, hands-on activities, observation, and guided discussion.
Over the four weeks, students will explore the animal’s habitat, origins, diet, adaptations, behaviors, enrichment needs, and place in the natural world. They’ll have opportunities to observe and interact with the animal ambassador while discovering how its unique characteristics help it survive and thrive.
Each student receives a workbook for the session, providing a place to record observations, complete activities, and build on what they discover each week.
The featured animal changes from month to month, so every session brings a new animal to discover. Each four-week session stands on its own, allowing families to join for a single adventure or return month after month to keep exploring the animal kingdom.
Animal Ambassador is designed to encourage curiosity, compassion, observation, and a love of learning while giving kids the opportunity to experience science in a way that feels like an adventure rather than a traditional classroom lesson.
Presented in partnership with Hunt’s Exotics Foundation. Animal ambassadors and specific activities may vary based on animal welfare, temperament, health, and availability.
