The Premise
The show takes an introductory dive into the microaggressions, tropes, and misogynoir that Black women face in the workplace and in society at large. it is couched in a truthful and hurtful work situation Seaborn experienced at a local nonprofit -- illustrating micromanagement, higher scrutiny, and the invisibility of Black Women's wellbeing and safety. Interspersed throughout are vignettes, stories, poetry, and media pieces exploring the crossroads of misogyny and racism that Black women navigate daily: at work, at school, on the street, at the market.
There will be a 30-minute panel discussion with the artist and other powerful Black women business and education professionals. CLICK THIS LINK TO PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS!
