Dr. Angelo Metz returns to TRiP Santa Monica with a fantastic group of musicians who will take you on a trip thru the vast landscape of Brazilian music including many Brazilian favorites, from Bossa to Samba and beyond, all infused with a jazzy flavor.Brazilian-born Angelo Metz started singing and playing guitar at age of 6. Son of a music teacher, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in classical guitar from the Federal University in Brazil. He also earned a Master’s Degree in studio/Jazz guitar, and a Doctorate in musical arts from USC. Besides playing with his group, Angelo is a solo performer as well as a sideman and recording artist and has performed on hundreds of sessions and live shows. Angelo also writes and records music for films and commercials.
