Angavai Sangavai - Dance Drama

Angavai and Sangavai were the daughters of Vel Paari, a famous Tamil king and philanthropist of the Sangam era. After their father was killed through treachery by the three crowned kings, their guardian and poet Kapilar took care of them and helped arrange their marriage.

This story will be presented by the students of Tamil Isai Kalloori. The songs have been chosen from sangam literature by Prof Thangarasu , directed by Dr Meenakshi Jayakumar. The music has been scored by Sri R Athul Kumar and dance choreography by Dr Himaja Athul Kumar.
