Rosen likes bringing art to places where people aren't used to seeing it. His work often explores boundary spaces between domesticity and wilderness. He utilizes unconventional impractical or even absurd methods of construction as another way of testing boundaries “The more I push against these edges the more I see that there isn’t really a line. The wild continues into my thoughts anxieties and cravings.”
He has created site-specific installations for numerous locations in Maine and beyond. Rosen holds an MFA from the University of Iowa and a BFA from Alfred University. His work has appeared in exhibitions nationally and internationally including the Portland Museum of Art (Portland ME) Jim Kempner Fine Arts (New YorkNY) Tacoma Museum of Art (Tacoma WA) Cuchifritos Gallery (New YorkNY) Pulse Art Fair (Miami FL) Ogunquit Museum of American Art (Ogunquit ME) & Tetra Projects (traveling exhibition) Mytilene Greece.
His art practice extends to teaching and he lives in South Portland with his family
