The race also honors Cherokee Nation citizen Andy Payne, who won the International Trans-Continental Footrace in 1928, running 3,423 miles along Route 66 from Los Angeles to New York City. The race will start at the Andy Payne Memorial Park in Foyil and end at the Claremore Museum of History. The awards ceremony at the MOH will be a fun-filled event with free massages for runners, nutritious drinks, food trucks, selfie spots, popcorn, snacks and more!
Visitors can view the Andy Payne Exhibit inside and take a photo with the Andy Payne statue in our new Legacy Gardens. Thank you for joining us at the Andy Payne Route 66 Race!
